CS2 Skin Float ve Aşınma (Wear) RehberiCS2 Skin Float and Wear Guide
Aşınma adı (Factory New, Minimal Wear vb.), float değerinin düştüğü aralığa göre verilir. CS2 topluluğunda yaygın olarak kullanılan standart sınırlar şunlardır:
| Durum | Float aralığı | Kısaca |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New (FN) | 0,00 – 0,07 | En temiz görünüm |
Factory New yalnızca 0,07 genişliğinde, Battle-Scarred ise 0,55 genişliğindedir.
Her skinin kendi float sınırları vardır
In CS2 the "Factory New" and "Battle-Scarred" versions of the same skin can look and cost very differently. The number behind that difference is the float value.
Important: RHOYSKIN is an independent demo and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve, Steam or Counter-Strike. There are no real-money deposits or withdrawals, and no real skins are awarded or transferred. Everything is limited to the virtual balance and virtual inventory in your browser.
What is float?
Float is a number between 0.00 and 1.00 that determines how worn a skin copy looks. The lower the number, the cleaner the skin. Each copy receives a float when it is created, and by common understanding this value does not change afterwards: playing with a skin does not wear it down.
The five wear conditions
The wear name (Factory New, Minimal Wear and so on) comes from the range the float falls into. These are the standard boundaries commonly used in the CS2 community:
| Condition | Float range | In short |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New (FN) | 0.00 – 0.07 | Cleanest look |
| Minimal Wear (MW) | 0.07 – 0.15 | Light wear |
| Field-Tested (FT) | 0.15 – 0.38 | Moderate, visible scratches |
| Well-Worn (WW) | 0.38 – 0.45 | Noticeable wear |
| Battle-Scarred (BS) | 0.45 – 1.00 | Most worn look |
Boundary values belong to the higher condition: 0.07 counts as Minimal Wear and 0.15 counts as Field-Tested.
The ranges are not equally wide. Factory New spans only 0.07, while Battle-Scarred spans 0.55. That is why two skins with the same label can look quite different: a Field-Tested at 0.15 and a Field-Tested at 0.37 share a name but not an appearance.
Every skin has its own float limits
A skin's designer can set a minimum and a maximum float, so not every skin exists in all five conditions. A hypothetical example: a skin that can only roll between 0.00 and 0.08 can be Factory New or Minimal Wear, and its Field-Tested, Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred versions never exist. Check the inventory or market screen to see which conditions a skin comes in.
Why is low float seen as more valuable?
Within the same condition, a lower float looks cleaner. On the market, "low float" copies often sell at a premium, especially near condition boundaries (for example just under 0.07). This is a market preference and should be read as a generalization: some skins even look better when worn. Float only affects appearance; it does not change a weapon's in-game performance (accuracy, damage).
Things that get confused with float
- Pattern (paint seed): The position or layout of the design can differ between copies of the same skin. The difference is especially visible on skins such as Case Hardened and Fade. Pattern is independent of float.
- StatTrak™: A counter that tracks kills made with the weapon; it has nothing to do with wear.
- Souvenir: A special version from tournament packages, with its own price and rarity.
- Stickers: Cosmetic items applied on top of a skin. They do not change the skin's float and are valued separately.
How to check float
You can see a float value when you inspect an item or through third-party float tools. Checking before you buy is the most reliable way to see the real difference between two skins with the same label. In trade-up contracts, the float of the result also depends on the floats of the input skins, so the choice of inputs matters.
How RHOYSKIN handles wear
In the simulator, skins are listed as separate variants with the wear condition in the name (for example "Field-Tested"). StatTrak™ and Souvenir variants, where they exist, are separate items too. Prices differ by condition; they come from the live price index or from demo estimates that take the condition into account, and are for information only.
RHOYSKIN does not assign a numeric float to individual copies, so a "low float" copy such as 0.0123 does not exist in the simulator. The wear you see in the demo is therefore only a simplified reflection of the real in-game float system. To learn how the win chance is calculated, see the simulator guide.
